Lucero Photography Publication /
Recently, I had two photos published in the UC Berkeley Journal from the Spanish and Portuguese department, Lucero for their 25th volume. This volume focuses on themes of performance and resistance through both academic and creative genres. My photographs reflect on how, through acts of leisure and performances of faith, urban minorities in Brazil are able to affirm a sense of self and resist systemic oppression. I feel honored to have been selected to participate in a great journal such as Lucero. Thanks team! Here's a link to the full volume if you'd like to see the other great publications:

Stop motion collaboration /
Did a collaboration with artist, Narges, today. I really enjoy the Stop motion process especially as a drawing/painting. Something I have realized about myself over time is the great appreciation I have for processes and how I view them and how they transform us. I did the photography, editing and score. The score is meant to convey a sense of melancholy, psychosis and inspiration all at once. I do hope that a meaning for yourself can be found within.

We find ourselves in this country torn. Torn in many directions. Wanting to be sympathetic as humans, but at the same time finding it difficult to find empathy in our compatriots especially when words of hate are used and seen. Love Trumps Hate! Photos from San Francisco on Inauguration day 2017
Moon Lake Dreaming /
Found myself on a lake that was trying to swallow the moon. The Lake had almost absorbed all of the moon's light, but as soon as the sun rose it had no chance. Better luck next month lake
